Stevens Point Air Show

Stevens Point Air Show

sunday June 1 2008, Stevens Point, Wis
It's been 4 years since we've had a 'real' air show.

My little camera isn't very good for telephoto, so I stuck with a lot of ground shots, using the pole camera to get just above the crowd.
There were many planes there, but I concentrated on the B-25, first time I've seen it up close.

fire department raised a 40-foot flag during the opening ceremony,

by the time I realized it, I was in the wrong place for a picture.

Did see the rolling up process.

I guess the only modern equipment is radio and electronic map display in center.

Only a small crawlspace over bomb bay.

Aviation gas is $5 a gallon, the B-25 uses 120 gal per hour. .

My pole camera,
telescope pole can go up 30 feet.
Pull Fishing line to trip shutter.
Good guess at aim.

Close pictures taken with permission of the crew.

I've read several stories about these planes.

It's really great to see and hear the real thing.
