Snowy Point

Snowy Point

The University of Wisconsin Stevens Point
had an open house at the College of Natural Resources.

One building has a mural laid in the brick.
Leaves, fish, animals, trees, maps, . . .

.

.

Things were on display that normally aren't seen by the public.

This campus has several authors of nature books and field guides.

.

If you are visiting a national or state park anywhere in the US,
ask your guide or official where they went to school.

You might be surprised at the number of people who graduated from here.

And they travel around the world doing nature research.

.
The University tours ended at 2pm, and then it started to snow.

.

I didn't have far to go to find subjects to highlight the white flakes.

I set the camera for speed, iso 400.

The resulting shutter speeds were 1/100th to 1/500 second.

The snow flakes were falling very slow,
and there was no wind
